Although Global Brands (GBA) is a new company, Jeff Crawley and George Franich have until just recently been present in China for approximately 2.5 years promoting and developing JD Brothers NZ Ltd, a NZ based export company with a passion to promote and represent NZ fine wines, beverages and dairy products throughout Asia with the help of Chinese businessman and partner David Wu.
We are part of a global business group whose goal is to offer the newest care and nutritional products for the equine industry available today. We have some of the brightest scientists working along with us, developing products based on new and modified science that can improve the health and performance of today’s equine athlete.

Global Brands’ directorship will be governed by New Zealander and now Australian resident, Jeff Crawley and NZ businessman George Franich.
Jeff brings 26 years of International and Freight forwarding experience and Sales Management expertise to this company. He has several international business contacts and has travelled the world many times over assisting several companies and individuals throughout the world with Imports and Exports. Jeff’s business involvement includes: Jenners Worldwide Freight, Jenner Cargo, Accord International Freight Ltd, China Motor Group Ltd and Halford International.
Jeff has played an integral part in developing target trade lanes for all these businesses with particular success in Australasia.
In dealing with Jeff, you will quickly recognise that his enthusiasm for trade and his passion for helping people is the driving force behind this NZ Born businessman. No Job is too big or small and his commitment and dedication to his clients has resulted in long term business relationships which have been built on trust and loyalty.
Leigh’s career started in the Banking Industry in NZ back in 1986 and spanned 14 years which included call centre management and branch management of both the National Bank and HSBC. Leigh also tried her hand at mortgage broking before taking on a self employed role as a full time field hockey coach. Throughout her working career Leigh had been heavily involved with hockey at a playing and coaching level which included representing NZ as a player as well as winning national titles as a coach.
More recently Leigh’s working career was spent looking after the HR portfolio for Chesters Plumbing and Bathroom Centre based in Auckland where she spent 8 years before moving to Newcastle to head the Administration team at Novocastrian.
Leigh has a real passion for creating a team environment that is conducive to learning and development. At the same time getting results and having fun along the way. A high achiever at all levels Leigh keeps her standards high and leads by example.
NZ Based Director
George is a tertiary qualified commerce professional with a major in accounting. George is currently the CFO for the Chesters’ Group. He has held a number of Management and Senior Accounting roles over his business life. George’s initial accounting roles starting at KPMG and was the Group Financial Controller for Goodman Fielder Baking group for a number of years. George himself played football at a senior level, and is heavily involved in the New Zealand football scene. George has been on the board of directors of Auckland City FC since its establishment. George has a special interest in the horse industry in particular the racing and breeding of standard-bred horses.
